 Alpha Memphis Education Foundation serves hundreds of
  youth annually through a range of programs.&nbsp\; The Memorial Golf Tour
 nament is the primary fundraiser for the foundation's activities. Proceeds
  benefit the programs of Alpha Memphis Education Foundation including:
 

 
 Goto HIgh School\, Goto College
 
 Goto HIgh School\, Goto College con
 centrates on the importance of completing secondary and collegiate educati
 on as a road to advancement. Statistics prove the value of this extra impe
 tus in making the difference in the success of young African-American men\
 , given that school completion is the single best predictor of future econ
 omic success. Through the Go-to-High-School\, Go-to-College educational in
 itiative\, young men receive information and learn strategies that facilit
 ate success.&nbsp\;
 
 Project Alpha
 
 Project Alpha&nbsp\;is designe
 d to provide education\, motivation and skill-building on issues of respon
 sibility\, relationships\, teen pregnancy and sexually transmitted disease
 s for young males ages 12-15 years. Designed to provide young men with cur
 rent and accurate information about teen pregnancy prevention\, Project Al
 pha consists of a series of workshops and informational sessions conducted
  by community leaders
 
 Leadership Development Institute
 
 The Leade
 rship Development Institute (LDI) aims to develop a 21st century generatio
 n of leaders. This mission starts with young people\, particularly those w
 ho demonstrate the potential to comprehend and apply the fundamental princ
 iples needed by leaders as well as whom\, by virtue of their age and educa
 tion\, are often looked upon as role models. Thus\, the Institute\, which 
 is implemented in five regions\, seeks to equip high school students\, pri
 marily sophomores to seniors\, with vital leadership skills. To this end\,
  our members who organize and facilitate the regional LDIs\, working along
  with other professionals/experts\, instruct the participants in parliamen
 tary procedures\, conflict resolution\, models of leadership\, public spea
 king\, community and civic engagement\, and educational enhancement skills
 .
